Joan Michelsen started with handbells in college when her church bought their first set.  She has continued to play in church choirs where she has lived.  She thoroughly enjoys playing with Bell-issimo and with ringers from so many different churches.  Joan has attended Bayview Week of handbells several seasons and participated in Bronze level clinics. She also plays piano and organ and has sung with her husband Jon in the First Plymouth Choir and Abendmusik Chorus.  She supports the arts through active participation on several boards.  Joan recently retired from an accounting and finance career.
